At Career Path Advising we seek to glorify God by helping clients discover their unique design and gain focus on career paths that would best suit their distinctive blend of personality, interests, skills, values, passion and experiences. We often talk about the joy of finding the “sweet spot” of putting our design to work in an environment where we can make a significant impact. However, our journey is not just “one perfect job,” and often, the experiences we have, even less than ideal experiences, allow us to learn more about ourselves and the myriad of career paths available to us. When our goals require additional training, education or certification, there are bridge positions which can be a good “fit” in the interim.
How do we discover our personal design and then determine career areas to further explore?
The hard work of self-assessment and career exploration must take place regardless of the age or experience of the clients. High school or college students will have less experiences and exposures to the world of work from which to draw, but entry level, veteran and all experienced level individuals in-between must fully invest in a deep process of self-examination to make the most well-informed decisions possible. Career Path Advising offers a number of assessments and packages to help clients work through this often intimidating process.
Resumes and interviewing are important life-skills that students and experienced job seekers alike must develop to best present themselves to potential employers and college admissions committees. Career Path Advising can assist with polishing these job search tools.
You have made known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
